Children’s Book Signing Party at Greene’s Beans Café in Hackettstown / Sparta, NJ

On Saturday, June 14th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Diana Tuorto of Stanhope, NJ will be holding a book signing party for her newly released children’s novel, Janie’s New Legs, at Greene’s Beans Cafe (313 High Street) in Hackettstown, NJ.

In addition, Greene’s Beans Café is hosting a second signing event at their Sparta location (31 Theatre Center, Sparta) on Saturday, July 19th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both events are free to the public and will feature door prizes, raffles, readings and live music.

Janie’s New Legs, which is appropriate for ages 8-14+, will be available for sale for $12. A portion of the proceeds from books sold during these events will benefit Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center in Oldwick, NJ.

Janie’s New Legs is the story of Silver, a shy pony, rescued from abuse and neglect, and Janie, a fragile young girl, paralyzed from a car accident. Janie meets Silver at a handicapped riding facility, where she goes to escape the constant confinement of her wheelchair. An extraordinary friendship soon develops and the two gradually begin the road to healing and recovery together.

Both events will be co-hosted by Randi Clarken, author of the recently released poetry anthology, Mugging for the Camera.
