I started making my own cards years ago. But now, after more than a dozen Christmases, Easters, birthdays, and anniversaries, I’m tired of relying on my own stable of designs and am eager to mix it up. Luckily, this book has 150 fresh and exciting cards for me to choose from.
So much better than store-bought!
The projects—all so colorful and filled with beautiful, sophisticated flair—are divided by season, with every major holiday covered. Plus, there are those “just because” greetings, too. I love that many of the cards come with coordinating envelopes. So many cardmaking books seem to leave those out. And, there’s a Buyer’s Guide that lists the Web sites where you can purchase all the supplies used to make the projects.
I’m getting started with a few of the Christmas-themed cards. The beautiful beaded poinsettia on subtle lavender cardstock is exquisite, as is the machine-stitched gold and green plaid Noel card.
