They appear to be four ordinary career women, but in fact they’re the Women’s Murder Club, working to solve San Francisco’s most heinous crimes. The unique skills of Homicide Detective Lindsay Boxer, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, medical examiner Claire Washburn and crime reporter Cindy Thomas combine to make an unstoppable team—but this time they’re the targets of a madman’s explosive rage.

Lindsay and Jill are on their way back from a jog when suddenly a beautiful townhouse across the street blows up. Rushing to the scene, Lindsay rescues a 10-year-old boy—but his baby sister was apparently abducted from the house before the explosion. A sinister note is found in the debris and, soon after, a wave of violent incidents strikes the city’s wealthiest homes and businesses. Called in to investigate is Deputy Director of Homeland Security Joe Molinari—whose desire to catch the bad guys is matched only by his attraction to Lindsay.

Lindsay, Jill, Claire and Cindy aren’t entirely convinced that these are terrorists—Lindsay’s found some odd personal links between the victims—but they do know there will be more victims every three days until the mastermind gets what he wants. When one of the fearless four is marked for death, the group jumps into high gear—before the madness terrorizing San Francisco takes the life of one of their own.
