Hello Again.
I am so happy to report that my next book, Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven, is done, and I can’t wait for you to read it! I must confess I had such a good time writing it; I really hated to finish it. The idea for this new story came to me because I was thinking about the fact that, in spite of all the things we human beings do know, there still remains one great unsolved mystery, one great universal question: “What is life all about, and where do we go from here?” If you are anything like me, you are always surprised at how life is so unpredictable and how it can change in just a second, which does make you wonder what it’s all about.
Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven starts with eighty-year-old Elner Shimfissle falling out of her fig tree, and from there, what happens to her, and the rest of the town, will hopefully make you laugh. When I start a book, I never know what is going to happen next (don’t tell my publishers), and where Mrs. Shimfissle went and who she saw surprised even me! I hope you have a wonderful summer, and I am sending you my very best wishes.
