New York D.A. Butch Karp, recovering from a recent assassination attempt, goes to Idaho to defend Coach Mikey O’Toole, who has lost his job over false allegations by a disgruntled former player, Rufus Porter, who has recently beaten a rape charge.
On the surface, it looks like a simple matter of libel, but blackmail, murder and conspiracy are just beneath the surface. As are the Sons of Man, a cabal determined to alter the course of history to further their own evil ends.
