Dear Reader:
I thought no other book could touch my heart as much as The Notebook...until I read Message in a Bottle. Filled with Nicholas Sparks storytelling magic, it made me a believer in the power of love.
While on vacation in Cape Cod, divorced newspaper columnist Theresa Osborne finds a bottle with a message inside. She is so overwhelmed by the passionate letter from Garrett to his lost love, Catherine, that she runs the letter in her Boston newspaper column. Theresa is flooded with calls, including one from a woman who found a similar message. As Theresa becomes increasingly infatuated with Garrett's tender devotion to Catherine, she knows she must meet him.
She finds Garrett in North Carolina, and stages a casual meeting with him. The sparks fly immediately. They spend all their time together, talking about the past and their fear of new love and new pain. And as they begin to fall in love, Garrett becomes torn between his feelings for Theresa and his undying love for the woman who still haunts his dreams. I don't want to spoil the ending for you, but let me assure you it's not what you think. If The Notebook brought tears to your eyes, just wait until you finish Message in a Bottle!
Enjoy!
